Essential Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Formal Education: Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Visual Communication Design (VCD), Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience as an Illustrator, with in-house or corporate experience being a major advantage.
- Portfolio: Possess a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in a clean, professional illustration style, and the ability to adapt to and strictly follow a specific brand's visual style.
- Software Proficiency: Highly proficient (Expert) in using industry-standard illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
Responsibilities
The primary role of the Corporate Illustrator is to create cohesive, informative, and on-brand visual assets that align with the company's identity.
Brand Compliance & Execution
- Maintain Consistency: Be fully responsible for creating all corporate illustrations with strict adherence to the established Visual Identity Guidelines (Brand Guidelines) and specified style.
- Concept Visualization: Translate complex or abstract narrative concepts (from Content/Marketing teams) into easily understandable and visually appealing illustrations.
- Quality Control: Ensure all resulting illustration assets are high-quality, resolution-appropriate, and maintain 100% visual consistency across various platforms and media.
Collaboration & Asset Development
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to understand visual needs and provide proactive design input.
- Asset Development: Build, maintain, and expand a reusable illustration asset library for internal corporate efficiency (e.g., for marketing, internal communication, or website).
- Project Management: Capable of managing and completing multiple illustration projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Key Illustration Outputs
- Creating illustrations used for marketing materials (digital/print campaigns, social media).
- Developing illustrations for communication media (newsletters, corporate presentations, annual reports).
- Producing illustrations for digital assets (e.g., website hero images, iconography, and onboarding screens).
Technical & Soft Skills
- Brand Adaptation: Demonstrated ability to work within strict brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across diverse outputs.
- Detail and Aesthetics: Deep understanding of design principles, color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure timely project delivery.
- Communication: Capable of receiving and constructively processing feedback, and communicating effectively with non-design team members.
Added Value (Good-to-Haves)
- Experience with 2D animation or motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects) for marketing assets.
- Understanding of UI/UX design and how illustrations interact with digital products.
- Skills in creating storyboarding or concept art.
